Bess is an amazing mix of her parent's dispositions. Her sire is Laura Stimatze's Hank (Stimatze Working Cowdogs). Laura competes with him in stock trials. Hank is a POWERFUL animal. I'm pretty sure he could knock nearly any stock off their feet. Bess, like her daddy, is powerfully built and sleek. Bess' dam is Jess Fettke's Gracie. Gracie is a calm, purposeful dog who is excellent on stock and has served many years as a daywork dog on multiple ranches. Gracie has so much poise, she can quietly and calmly work a chicken up to her owner, close enough to be picked up.

On Stock

On stock, Bess is gritty. She has eye and plenty of bite. Once she was turned on, she took very naturally to stock - the crazier the better. On stock, she is not a soft dog and loves to really get in there and do a job. She prefers heel side, but will bite a head no problem.

At Home

At home, Bess is a completely different animal with her people. She has a softer handle and listens well to her person. She is as silly as they come and wants to be your main girl. Bess adores her handler and is my best friend.
